Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola has been frustrated in attempts to prise THREE players away from Real Madrid this summer.
OkDiario says Guardiola wanted to sign Real keeper Keylor Navas, defender Raphael Varane and midfielder Isco.
However, City couldn't get any of the deals done in time, with Guardiola agreeing to look elsewhere after discussing transfer strategy with chiefs Ferran Soriano and Txiki Begiristain.
City eventually went for John Stones, instead of Varane, Leroy Sane over Isco and are now closing a deal for Barcelona keeper Claudio Bravo.
"If no one leaves, then no-one can arrive. It is impossible. It's a mess for the team, but I'm really happy to have this squad," argued Real coach Zinedine Zidane last week.
