Real Madrid coach Rafa Benitez is losing support inside the locker room, it has been revealed.

Benitez and skipper Sergio Ramos met yesterday to thrash out their differences after exchanging barbs in the press following the draw at Atletico Madrid.

El Confidencial says Ramos is not alone in being unhappy with Benitez's management, with several players already discussing exit strategies with their agents.

Along with the Ramos episode, Benitez's 'jokey' criticism of Karim Benzema has also not gone down well.

There is also a simmering tension between the coach and Cristiano Ronaldo, with locker room sources claiming "it could explode at any moment".

Injuries to James Rodriguez, Gareth Bale and Danilo have contributed to Benitez's problems as he's having to call on players who he largely ignored during preseason.
