Luis Suarez would be happy to stay with Liverpool for the coming season.Barcelona and Real Madrid are chasing the controversial Uruguay striker, who is expected to learn today the extent of his ban for biting Italy defender Giorgio Chiellini.
Sport says Suarez has made it clear he will only leave for his preference - and favours Barca over Real.
"I will go where I want, which is important," he told friends.
But Suarez was unimpressed that Barca made contact with his camp only last week, while Real have been courting him for some time.
"You're late," was his initial response to Barca's approach, though he did not shut the door.
Barca must meet Suarez's €80 million buyout clause if he is to leave Liverpool and friends insist he won't be disappointed if a deal cannot be done.
"If he stays with Liverpool, he will still be happy," said a source.
