The resignation letter written by former Liverpool manager Bill Shankly ahead of his retirement in 1974 has been revealed.
Shankly spent 15 years hugely successful seasons at Anfield, which saw the Reds win three First Division titles and two FA Cups.
The letter was posted on Twitter by former Liverpool striker John Aldridge from the Shankly Hotel Archive.
