REVEALED: Sarri in London to shake hands on Chelsea contract

Axed Napoli coach Maurizio Sarri was in London on Friday for talks with Chelsea.

The Mirror says Sarri and his representatives flew to England for talks on Friday and discussed a two year deal to take over at Stamford Bridge.

Sarri has told friends that he expects to get the Chelsea job even though they have yet to resolve Antonio Conte's future.

Conte is expected to leave Stamford Bridge after two years - winning the Premier League and FA Cup - even though he has a year left on his £9m-a-year contract.

Sarri, 58, has been on Chelsea's radar for months and had a bitter fall-out from Napoli which saw him get forced out after snubbing a new contract to be replaced by Carlo Ancelotti.

At Chelsea on Friday, Sarri was offered £5m-a-year with a third year option on the contract.
