Relatives of Monaco wonder kid Kylian Mbappe claim that the 18-year wants to shun the advances of Real Madrid and Manchester United in order to play under Arsene Wenger at Arsenal.
The transfer's main sticking point – other than the exorbitant transfer fee – has been the Gunners lack of Champions League football - a competition that Mbappe has publicly declared his affection for.
However, that is not a problem for the Frenchman, according to his relatives.
Le Parisien has quoted the relatives saying: "Wenger is one of the greats. If Kylian signs for Arsenal tomorrow, it will be for him.
"He knows how to shape the young and especially the former strikers of the French national team, Thierry Henry and Nicolas Anelka.
"[Lack of Champions League?] The Europa League is not an obstacle in itself."
