Super agent Mino Raiola fancied moving AC Milan goalkeeper Gigio Donnarumma to Manchester United this summer, it has been revealed.
The Sun says Raiola urged Juventus to focus on signing De Gea so another of his clients, AC Milan's Donnarumma, could move to the Premier League side.
Donnarumma initially snubbed an offer of a new deal from Milan, before performing a u-turn and committing his future to the San Siro outfit.
But Raiola thought that, if De Gea left for Juventus, it would pave the way for Donnarumma to seal a move to Jose Mourinho's side.
Juventus were initially pursuing Donnarumma but Milan were never going to let him go to a direct rival.
Instead, they ended up signing Wojciech Szczesny from Arsenal after De Gea told them he would only consider a return to Spain.
