Barcelona are keeping tabs on Real Madrid's pursuit of PSG attacker Neymar.

Mundo Deportivo says rather than give Real president Florentino Perez a free run at the Brazil captain, there is now talk inside the Barca boardroom of rivaling him for the attacker.

Indeed, intermediaries for Neymar have been in contact with Barca to let them know he would welcome the chance to discuss a return to the Nou Camp.

While he is not actively seeking to leave PSG, word has reached the Blaugrana board that Neymar would favour a return to Barca ahead of moving to Real Madrid.

Further complicating the situation for Florentino is the anger his interest has created inside PSG - which has led to demands that the president publicly state he has no interest in signing Neymar this season.
