West Ham United's next manager will be warned he must sell to buy this summer.

The Hammers are working through candidates for the job following their split from Sam Allardyce last week.

The Daily Star says the new man could end up with significantly less to spend in the transfer market than the £25m he was promised.

It is understood whoever takes over the role will have to sell players before the club commit to spending that amount of money.
