Nani has held talks with Manchester United officials over his future.
The Daily Star Sunday says he used his return to Old Trafford last week with Portugal to discuss his Manchester United future.
The winger, 27, played in the 1-0 win against Argentina while on loan for the season at his old club Sporting CP.
United are willing to let Nani leave but the deal is being held up for financial reasons - although there were discussions after Portugal's friendly win.
Sporting want United to reduce their £16million valuation and Nani's £100,000-a-week United salary is another stumbling block.
