Jose Mourinho and left back Luke Shaw were involved in a training ground incident, according to The Sun.

The Manchester United manager and the English left-back had some heated words for each other in training leading up to United's FA Cup tie against Brighton on Saturday night.

Shaw only wished to get some information about why he was not involved with the first team in recent weeks, but Mourinho was not happy with the way he approached the situation.

Mourinho had an earful for Shaw, which is described by The Sun as an "extraordinary outburst."

Shaw did start against Brighton, but found himself hooked at half time and scathingly criticised by his manager in the post-match press conference.
