Borussia Dortmund have tabled a bid for Chelsea striker Alvaro Morata.

Sky Italia says Dortmund made the move last weekend, but Morata asked for time to consider the proposal.

The Spain international had been counting on an offer from AC Milan, but that door has shut after their deal for Juventus striker Gonzalo Higuain.

Morata could yet return to negotiations with Dortmund, though BVB have also since moved onto other targets.

The striker featured for the Blues last night in their 1-1 draw with Arsenal in Dublin.
