Manchester United have worked trialist Drew Lewis hard in order to be ready for his formal tests.
The Southport striker has been offered trials by United.
Southport FC's Youth Administrator Chris Baumber, speaking with the Manchester Evening News, says United have had him training "seven days a week, including Saturday and Sunday" in order to bring his fitness up to the required level.
Lewis has scored 30 goals in 14 league games for Southport's Under-21 community side who play in the Lancashire Sunday league.
