Manchester United have tabled a massive bid for Bayern Munich attacker Thomas Muller. The Daily Star says Muller, 25, has been heavily linked with a move to the Premier League in recent months, and it's believed Red Devils boss Louis van Gaal is keen to lure the German international, who he managed during his two-year spell Bayern boss, to Old Trafford

But according to reports, the Dutchman has had an approach for the forward knocked back by the German giants.

Sources in Germany claim Van Gaal has had a £45m bid for the prolific striker, who has attracted interest from Arsenal and Liverpool, rejected.

Bayern boss Pep Guardiola is expected to reject any more approaches United make for the German international, who has three-and-a-half years left on his current contract with the Bundesliga champions.
