Manchester United are in extensive talks with PSG striker Edinson Cavani. The Daily Star Sunday says United appear to have moved into pole position in the race to sign Cavani following reports that the club have met with the player's representative four times.
Cavani, 27, is keen to play for Louis van Gaal and join his Manchester United revolution.
Interestingly the striker was missing for PSG's flight to Hong Kong to kickoff the Asian leg of their preseason tour on Friday.
Montevideo media sources insist his camp have been in negotiations with United's top brass over a £38m move.
