Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho clashed with Luke Shaw earlier this month at training, it has been revealed.

Shaw's future at United is again in doubt after he was hooked at halftime for the FA Cup win over Brighton.

The Sun says Shaw, desperate to break into Gareth Southgate's plans for the World Cup, went to see Mourinho after United's stirring comeback at Crystal Palace where they were 2-0 down and eventually won 3-2.

Mourinho had sent him on with 23 minutes left, but he was then an unused sub for the win over Liverpool and excluded altogether from the squad which lost to Sevilla in the Champions League.

The Special One told Shaw he would play in the FA Cup tie against Brighton, but it was designed to be a shop window ahead of a summer move away from United.
