Manchester City are prepared to consider sharing Etihad stadium with Manchester United.
The Sun says City could be prepared to groundshare with arch-rivals United — if plans went ahead to redevelop Old Trafford.
They would consider opening the Etihad doors if an approach was made by the Red Devils — although the rent is likely to be high.
The clubs once shared City's old home Maine Road for eight years after Stretford was bombed during the Second World War in 1941.
United's managing director Richard Arnold described plans to enlarge the Sir Bobby Charlton Stand as “a very complex engineering challenge".
He added: “It would be a multi-season challenge and it isn't certain that there's a way of doing it which doesn't render us homeless."
