Manchester City are eyeing Nigeria U17 World Cup sensation Kelechi Nwakali.
West Ham have also been credited with an interest in the teenager although City are said to be leading the race, with the player's academy keen to include performance-related clauses on top of a transfer fee that would be around £4m, says the Manchester Evening News.
The player's older brother, Chidiebere, is already at the Blues' academy.
Nwakali was part of the Nigeria side that last week retained the Under-17 World Cup, and was given the Golden Ball for being recognised as the best player in the competition.
