Manchester City are a step closer to landing Porto defender Eliaquim Mangala.L'Equipe says City have agreed a deal with Porto for Mangala, with reports suggesting the fee is around €40million.

However, the France defender has yet to speak with City and does not want to make any decisions about his future until after the World Cup.

It is rumoured that he would prefer a switch to Chelsea, who have also been heavily inked with the powerful 23-year-old.
