Liverpool goalkeeper Simon Mignolet had the chance to join Fulham this season, it has been revealed.

Mignolet complained this week that Liverpool blocked him from joining Besiktas last month, instead allowing Loris Karius to make the move.

However, the Liverpool Echo says Mignolet almost joined Fulham this summer.

The Reds stopper - who was criticised by Jurgen Klopp this afternoon - was unhappy at not being allowed to leave Anfield this summer but reportedly couldn't agree personal terms with the London club.

The Cottagers turned to Besiktas stopper Fabri instead, with the Turkish giants in turn signing Loris Karius.
