Liverpool haven't dropped their long-term interest in Napoli winger Piotr Zielinski.
The Poland international is being linked with the Reds and Arsenal this week, with his contract carrying a €150m buyout clause.
The Liverpool Echo says the Reds - who meet the Serie A side in Naples on October 3 - lost out on the Polish midfielder's signing in 2016 after Udinese rejected their £11.75million bid and refused to do business thereafter.
After a long saga, Liverpool finally admitted defeat after being unable to agree a deal and Zielinksi moved to Napoli for around £13million.
The 24-year-old has established himself as a key member of the squad at San Paolo, making 47 appearances last season and starting all three games under new boss Carlo Ancelotti this campaign, scoring twice.
