Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has had an agreement with Lyon ace Nabil Fekir since the New Year, it has been revealed.

It was claimed last weekend that Liverpool and Lyon had settled on a €60m fee for the France international - which was quickly denied on both sides of the Channel.

However, France Football's Nabil Djellit insists Klopp knows Fekir will eventually join him at Anfield this summer.

He declared last night: "Klopp can always be ironic about an agreement with Fekir. The two men met at the beginning of the year. There is a verbal agreement between them.

"The rest is now to be done, agreement between clubs, possible competition from other teams. Confirmed, but not signed, a bit like (Thomas) Tuchel!"
