Mateo Kovacic has made a transfer request at Real Madrid.

El Partidazo on Cope reports the Croatia midfielder has demanded Real listen to offers for him this summer. He has made it clear he wants to leave Madrid.

However, the response from Real has been negative.

Kovacic has been told he is not for sale and that no offers will be entertained for him, this despite the midfielder convinced he has little chance of being a regular starter under new coach Julen Lopetegui.

Kovacic is currently in Russia with Croatia for the World Cup and has left the matter to his agents. But he's made it clear he wants to leave.
