Inter Milan are intensifying their pursuit of Red Star Belgrade midfielder Marko Grujic.

Chelsea and Manchester United have been battling for the young Serb's signature this season, however, Inter are now stepping in.

Inter have the edge in the battle thanks to coach Roberto Mancini's No2, Dejan Stankovic, who is idolised by Grujic.

The Nerazzurrri are planning to offer €4.5 million to Red Star for the midfielder in January ahead of loaning him to Chievo Verona.

Grujic has been likened to Chelsea midfielder Nemanja Matic.
