Inter Milan blocked a sensational move to Real Madrid for Fredy Guarin yesterday.
Guarin's agent last night confirmed they held talks with Valencia in the morning, only for the deal to collapse over Inter's asking price.
Gazzetta dello Sport says Carlo Ancelotti's Real Madrid also made an attempt for the Colombia international in the afternoon. Real wanted to take the midfielder on-loan, but Inter insisted on a straight sale.
Real refused to do business, leaving Guarin stuck in Milan.
Plans to move away in January are likely to be revived by Guarin's camp.
