Hull City boss Steve Bruce is keen to hear from Newcastle United.
The Evening Chronicle says sources close to Bruce say that he would be keen to talk to United officials once Alan Pardew's move to Crystal Palace is complete.
The Geordie is a boyhood United fan and thought to be prepared to work with Mike Ashley, Lee Charnley and chief scout Graham Carr.
However, Bruce's appointment may not go down well with some sections of the United support due to his links with Sunderland and Manchester United during his playing days when the Red Devils and the Magpies were once rivals for the title.
