Leicester City ace Jamie Vardy enjoys winding up foreign defenders.

That's according to former teammate Ritchie de Laet.

Now playing in Belgium, De Laet recalled that along with studying a defender's weaknesses in the build up to a match, the frontman also studies how to wind them up in their native language.

“Vards asked teammates every match for slander in the language of the defender," De Laet told Het Belang van Limburg. "He asked Riyad Mahrez something French that would make his opponent completely crazy. And then Riyad said something in French along the lines of 'Suck'. Anyway, it must have helped for sure?"

“We still have regular contact, yes. He has been here at my home in Antwerp, where he enjoyed the Belgian fries," added De Laet. "Since then I always had to bring Jupiler (beer) to England with every trip to Belgium. So I bought one for him and also one for me."
