Paul Goldrick was key to Liverpool's swoop for AS Roma striker Mohamed Salah.
Salah joined Liverpool last summer for £37million, a price that now looks like an utter bargain.
Goal reports Reds sporting director Michael Edwards, head of scouting Dave Fallows and chief scout Barry Hunter followed Salah's progress in Italy after his Chelsea career flopped.
By the end of last season, the trio were convinced Salah was the right man for Liverpool. And Reds' scout in Italy, Paul Goldrick, conveyed one message back: "This guy will score goals, trust us!"
Nine months later and it's safe to say Goldrick has more than been proved right.
