Both Everton and Manchester United rejected the chance to sign Spain star Saul Niguez as a youngster, it has been revealed.

Atletico Madrid midfielder Saul is now rated at €150m and being linked with United and Barcelona.

But Spanish pundit Guillem Balague says the attacker could easily have already been playing in England.

"Saul, finally people have realised the talent that this man has," Balague told BBC 5 Live Sport.

“This is a man that as an 18-year-old was offered to Everton and they said no.

“As a 20-year-old he was offered to Manchester United and Manchester United said no."
