REVEALED: De Gea playing in Man Utd goal with vision problems

Manchester United goalkeeper David De Gea is facing eye surgery.
The Daily Mail says it emerged on Thursday night that De Gea has been playing with a problem that affects the long-range vision in one eye. He hopes laser surgery will correct it.
De Gea has suffered with the condition since childhood and regularly wears glasses. He is thought to use contact lenses when he plays.
United do not believe the matter is to blame for De Gea's erratic displays and the 21-year-old was advised in March, before his £17.8million move to Old Trafford from Atletico Madrid, that his eyes were not ready for treatment.
Now, though, he wants to have the surgery before his planned participation in the Olympics later this year.
