REVEALED: Crystal Palace offer Spurs target Zaha double wages

Crystal Palace have reportedly opened negotiations with Wilfried Zaha regarding new and improved contract terms.

The Sun is reporting that the Eagles are intent in warding off interest from Tottenham Hotspur for their star winger.

Zaha currently earns £60,000 per week at Selhurst Park and it is understood that Palace are set to offer him double that in a bid to keep him in South London.

Christian Benteke and Yohan Cabaye are on about £120,000-a-week deals at Palace and the clubs hierarchy are prepared to make Zaha one of their best paid players so his head is not turned by Spurs, who are believed to be planning a £40million summer move for the 24-year-old.

Palace boss Sam Allardyce said: “Wilfried's contract has a considerable time to run.

“The summer will bring whatever it brings, whether it's us negotiating a new contract and he wants to stay, or whether some outrageous bid comes along.

“I'm not in control of whether he stays.

“But he needs to stay here and play every week, and be the key man to Crystal Palace getting better and better."
