Chelsea have attempted to revive talks with Luis Enrique this week.

Departing Napoli coach Maurizio Sarri is now favourite for the job, with his agents having met with Chelsea officials on Thursday for talks.

The Daily Mail says sources claim Chelsea have made a fresh approach for Luis Enrique, who for a long time looked like the club's preferred candidate, in recent days.

But the Spaniard's demands have provided a stumbling block and it is understood Enrique was unwilling to budge following Chelsea's latest approach.

That leaves Sarri as the clear front-runner for the job and Chelsea are poised to press ahead with their interest.
