New Inter Milan sports chief Walter Sabatini has met with Antonio Conte THREE times in the last ten days.
TMW says the Chelsea manager remains Inter's No1 target as they seek a new coach for the coming season.
Conte's focus this week has been the build up to the FA Cup final with Arsenal on Saturday, but is expected to make a clear announcement about his future immediately after.
Sabatini and Conte are close, with the new Inter director having spent time in London this season after his departure from Roma.
If a deal cannot be done, Sabatini will turn to Roma coach Luciano Spalletti to fill the vacancy left by Stefano Pioli's sacking.
However, inside Inter, there remains hope Conte will agree to return to Italy this summer.
