Agents for new Villarreal signing Carlos Bacca pushed hard to place him at Real Madrid this summer.

Bacca left AC Milan for Villarreal last month, but not before a move to Real was explored.

Aware Real coach Zinedine Zidane was seeking a fourth striker signing, agents for Bacca made contact about taking on the Colombian.

Several times representatives went to Real to offer the striker, but the response was always negative.

In the end, Zidane went with Borja Mayoral for his fourth striker and Bacca signed for the Yellow Submarine.
