AC Milan president Silvio Berlusconi called Mattia Destro on the weekend before his debut against Parma.
The former AS Roma striker was able to make a winning Rossoneri debut as a substitute.
Before kickoff, Berlusconi contacted Destro, reports Corriere della Sera, to give him a peptalk.
"Don't be like Mario Balotelli," said the patron, "this is your chance. Don't waste it."
Berlusconi has high hopes for Destro, who is known as a natural penalty box predator - the type of striker the president has been desperate to find for Milan.
