Barcelona president Josep Maria Bartomeu failed with a late attempt for PSG signing Kylian Mbappe last month.

Le 10 Sport says Bartomeu put in several frantic calls to Mbappe's father in the final days of the summer market as he sought to sign the then Monaco striker.

Bartomeu was desperate to land a big name after losing Neymar to PSG and made several attempts to convince Mbappe to choose the Nou Camp.

However, despite the lucrative offer tabled, Kylian's father made it clear to Bartomeu that his son had decided to continue his career with PSG.

It's suggested Barca have told LaLiga chiefs not to carry out their threats to report PSG to FIFA after Bartomeu's big money attempts to sign Mbappe.
