Southampton boss Ronald Koeman has a release clause in his current contract. The Daily Star Sunday says the option could make him available to Barcelona for just over £2million.

The Saints boss is high on a list of candidates to replace embattled Barca boss Luis Enrique at the Nou Camp.

Koeman signed a three-year deal when he took over from Mauricio Pochettino at St Mary's last June and has worked wonders on the south coast.

And that has not gone unnoticed by Barcelona, where he remains a legendary figure from his playing days in Spain.

Sources in Spain claim Barcelona have been informed that Koeman is interested in the job.
