Bayern Munich were willing to take Mesut Ozil off Arsenal's hands in the summer, it has been revealed.
El Confidencial says Arsene Wenger reportedly rejected the bid which was much lower than the £42.5million which the Gunners paid for the German midfielder.
The Bundesliga club are managed by Pep Guardiola, who previously managed Barcelona during the days that Ozil played for their rivals Real Madrid.
The offer, which apparently came during the summer transfer window, was because Munich expected Arsenal to follow up their buy-back clause in Cesc Fabregas' contract.
