Arsenal goalkeeper Petr Cech has been working as a middle man in transfer deals, it has been revealed.
L'Equipe says Cech has his finger prints all over former club Rennes' swoop for Czech Republic goalkeeper Tomas Koubek.
Koubek joined Rennes last summer as a replacement for Benoit Costil and has impressed in his first season in France.
And it's been revealed Cech spoke to Koubek about Rennes and how such a move would benefit his career before he put pen to paper. But the veteran's involvement goes further, with the Gunners keeper also speaking to Rennes management about Koubek's qualities.
Indeed, Cech insisted that Koubek was better than he was at the same age - which was enough for Rennes to snap him up.
