Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger REJECTED the chance to take Daniel Sturridge on-loan from Liverpool yesterday.
Goal reported the striker's representatives had been in touch with Gunners chiefs over a temporary deal.
Sturridge is allegedly frustrated by his lack of game time at Anfield this season and is concerned he won't be given a chance to play through the centre.
Arsenal have also signed a new striker in the shape of Lucas Perez, and Wenger would surely have been wary about taking a gamble on another injury-prone player, says The Sun.
Danny Welbeck has yet to establish himself as a first-team regular following his move from Manchester United two years due to numerous setbacks.
