Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger would only return to French football for PSG.

That's the claim of close friends, who have spoken to L'Equipe about his relationship with PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi.

A source revealed: "Arsene has not spoken to Nasser for almost a year and a half now. Of course, they always send SMS, but because they enjoy it, it's not about PSG.

"He said that if he were to go back to the Championship of France, it would be to Paris. But when he had opportunity, he did not necessarily want to return to the French football.

"When he had approaches from PSG, he was always linked to Arsenal. There was no question that Arsene followed after Carlo Ancelotti, a coach and a person he likes, as he did not want to succeed Laurent Blanc, whom he considers a friend."
