Arsenal's board are working towards the prospect of manager Arsene Wenger leaving at the end of this season, it has been revealed.
Le 10 Sport says since November that the Gunners board have had an agreement in place for Wenger to leave some time this season.
If results nosedived, the Frenchman would be asked to immediately resign. Otherwise, he would walk away at the end of this campaign - a year before his current contract expires.
It's suggested nothing has changed since November's agreement, which is why news in Catalonia of contact between Arsenal and Luis Enrique is now emerging.
Arsenal are stepping up plans to replace Wenger this summer and are putting out feelers to potential candidates.
