REVEALED: Arsenal BLANKED Vieira FAW tribute night

Arsenal legend Patrick Vieira has hinted of tension with manager Arsene Wenger.

The Daily Mail says Wenger was not referred to by Patrick Vieira in his speech at the Football Writers' Association tribute evening to him at The Savoy.

Vieira revealed his tensions with Wenger in a newspaper interview last Saturday when he chose Jose Mourinho, his Inter Milan coach, as the better manager, saying: "Jose's the manager who has had more influence on me. He was the one who inspired me most with his work ethic."

About Wenger, Vieira said: "He is a busy man. I didn't speak to him in quite a long time."

Noticeably, Arsenal did not buy a table for the event, with former Gunners Lee Dixon and Emmanuel Petit guests of Manchester City.
