Manchester United midfielder Darren Fletcher was over the moon after making it back to the Premier League this weekend.
The 29-year old Scotsman, who has been fighting a chronic bowel problem, came on late in United's 3-0 win at Aston Villa on Sunday for his first piece of league action since Boxing Day last year and was thrilled to have completed a brave comeback.
"I always believed I would come back," he told MUTV.
"Other people around me were trying to make me think otherwise, but I stayed strong and believed I would get back.
"Playing a game like that, and getting an ovation like that, makes it all worthwhile."
