Return of Wigan stars boosts boss' confidence

The return of several key players has boosted the confidence of Wigan manager Steve Bruce.

Ahead of Sunday's league clash with Tottenham, the Latics have a number of stars on the brink of returning to the first team.

"[Emile] Heskey, Zaki and Mario Melchiot are all back training, and Ryan Taylor should be okay too after a bit of a hamstring problem," said Bruce.

"Lee Cattermole is available after suspension while Paul Scharner came off with an Achilles problem at Spurs but will be all right for Sunday."

Wigan hosts Tottenham at the JJB Stadium in a vital clash for both sides.

A win will see the home side edge closer to a European dream whilst Spurs are intent of driving themselves out of the relegation zone.
