Ashley Young is hoping his recent impressive form for Manchester United can be the catalyst for a potential England return.
The winger, 29, has appeared on 30 occasions for the Three Lions but has not featured for Roy Hodgson since September 2013.
With Hodgson set to announce his squad for the March 27 Euro2016 qualifier with Lithuania and the friendly with Italy four days later, Young spoke of his desire to break back into the national setup after stringing together some games for United.
"Fingers crossed I can get myself back into the England team," he told Sky Sports News HQ.
"I've always said that I want to represent my country. It's always an honour to play for England and hopefully I've done enough to get myself back in the squad.
"But I'm concentrating on things at club level and I'll just have to wait and see."
