Chelsea have reportedly tabled a shock offer for PSG's David Luiz.

Sky Sports and the Daily Mail are both suggesting that the Blues have offered £30million for the Brazilian defender who left Stamford Bridge for the French giants in 2014.

It is understood that talks are in progress with Luiz, 29, keen to return to West London after two successful seasons at Parc des Princes.

Chelsea have been chasing a centre-back for the entire summer transfer window but having missed out on Napoli's Kalidou Koulibaly and AC Milan's Alessio Romagnoli, Antonio Conte has turned this attention to Luiz.

Luiz departed Chelsea in June 2014 for a then world-record fee for a defender of £50m.
