Football's authorities are closing in on a decision over whether to introduce retrospective bans for diving, reports Sky Sports.
The Football Association, Premier League, EFL, PFA and PGMOL must soon decide on whether retrospective bans are appropriate to allow enough time to implement them before the 2018/19 season begins in August.
Currently, under IFAB/FIFA rules, there is no sanction available to retrospectively punish players for diving although FIFA do allow leeway for Associations to have some of their own rules outside their remit.
