Resilient Seongnam Ilhwa pleases Shin

Seongnam Ilhwa boss Shin Tae-Young has lauded his side for their come from behind win over Beijing Guoan last night.

The Korean outfit conceded a goal in just the 18th minute in their third group stage match in the Asian Champions League before going on a blitzing run in the final ten minutes to net three goal, including one each to substitutes Song Ho-Young and Jo Jae-Cheol, to record their third straight win and Shin was delighted after the match.

"I expected a tough game and then we conceded a goal early in the game," said Shin.

"But the players were determined to get back in the game and I thank them for equalising, taking the lead and then getting the additional goal.

"I am delighted that the substitutes scored," added Shin.

"Song is not yet at full fitness but if he keeps playing like this then he won't be someone to come and change the game from the bench, he will be in line for a starting spot.

"The best way to reach the last eight is to top the group and play the second round at home. That is what we aim to do," he concluded.
