Rescheduled: Man City to play Monchengladbach on Wednesday

UEFA have revealed the revised time and date for the Champions League meeting between Manchester City and Borussia Monchengladbach.

The Group C fixture was set to take place on Tuesday night but torrential rain in Manchester forced the contest to be called off just 20 minutes prior to kick-off.

With weather forecasts expected to be fine for tomorrow, the match has now been rescheduled to Wednesday night at 7:45pm local time at Etihad Stadium.

A statement from City's official website read: "Following this evening's postponement, the UEFA Champions League fixture against Borussia Monchengladbach will now be played on Wednesday, 14 September.

"The fixture will kick-off at 7.45pm at the Etihad Stadium.

"Torrential rainfall across Manchester throughout the evening led to flooding in the areas in and around the stadium, which forced the decision on safety and security grounds.

"Previously purchased tickets and hospitality for today's date will remain valid for tomorrow.

"Any supporters with queries, including rain-damaged tickets, should contact the Manchester City Supporter Services on +44 (0)161 444 1894 (option 1, option 3)."
